What it examines
PrenatalSafe Plus is a non-invasive prenatal test that screens for chromosomal abnormalities by analyzing cell-free fetal DNA from a pregnant person’s blood sample. PrenatalSafe® Plus screens for aneuploidies of chromosomes 21, 18, 13, 9 and 16, as well as the sex chromosomes (X and Y), and can optionally determine fetal sex. It can also assess for six of the most common microdeletion syndromes.
